Darrell Wayne Matlock currently serves as the pastor for a 3-church district, which includes the Centerville Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Matlock has a Masters of Divinity degree from Andrews University (2022) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith (2006). Before being called into pastoral ministry, he worked as Technology Administrator and Data Analyst at National Recovery Specialist from 2001-2017.
Pastor Matlock was born and raised in Malvern, Arkansas where most of his family live today. Growing up in a Seventh-day Adventist family, he made a commitment to God early in his life, being baptized when he was thirteen. At the age of 33, he was ordained as an elder in the Fort Smith, Arkansas SDA Church where he served for several years. He enjoyed his many years working in the business services industry. However, through a series of God-led events, he eventually felt a clear call from God to go into pastoral ministry.
Pastor Matlock has been married to his wife, Erika, since January, 2010. He also has two adopted children and two grandchildren. Pastor Matlock has a passion for giving Bible studies and sharing the Gospel with others. In his spare time, he loves spending time outdoors. His favorite activities are fishing, hiking, kayaking, and rock hunting. He is also a big fan of watching and playing sports.
